"Heather has been an immensely insightful and knowledgeable presence during my associateship/training. I love (and aspire to a similar level of) her authenticity and care for her all her folx. I would easily and confidently recommend Heather as a referral for anyone seeking an authentic, impassioned therapist, and I'm stoked to call her a colleague."

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Approach
I don’t believe that therapy is a one-size-fits-all venture. My goal for you is that you feel consistently supported through the highs and lows of your therapy journey in a way that is tailored to your specific needs. I bring a broad range of therapeutic skills to the table and we'll work together to find the best approach for you. Our work is collaborative – I bring the skill, you bring the material, and we work together to discover the path.
My work is informed by multiple modalities including relational, psychodynamic, internal family systems, Gestalt, and somatic practices. While I am skilled at working with a broad range of issues, I am particularly experienced in the areas of sexuality, gender, sex & intimacy, men recovering from toxic masculinity, couples/intimate partners, and woman surviving sexual abuse/assault. I am LGBTQIA+ , kink, and poly affirming.

“Heather’s approach is so genuine and nurturing. She is really skilled at making the client feel safe, seen and heard. She also has a great sense of humor so therapy never feels dull or boring. I've been in therapy for almost 15 years and I can't say enough good things about Heather. She is literally the BEST therapist. I highly, highly, highly recommend.”

About Me
I decided to become a therapist when I was 33 years oldand I very much love what I do. Whoever you are, whatever your journey, I am always honored to walk along the path with you.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in both Michigan and California. I received my MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in 2015. I completed my training and associateship at The Relational Center in Los Angeles. It was there that I honed my skill as a therapist, as well as my ability to work relationally and practice through a lens of social awareness. I have since received training in EMDR and the Psychobiological Approach to Couple’s Therapy (PACT).

"I feel like a human with Heather and not just a client. I feel her genuine care for me and also her integrity as a therapist. She has such a vast capacity to hold complexity and diversity with compassion. She is able to zoom in and out from different angles when talking about an issue, and I trust her knowledge and skill. I am so grateful to work with her.”
